Just to have all things out in the open....
I've responded in the comments area to the Patriot's reply to my earlier decision about leaving the Christian Carnival.
I really do want to see the Carnival accomplish its objectives of helping Christian Bloggers gain a larger audience for the purpose of bringing larger glory to God. Even so, I cannot help but to return to the fact that some doctrines are so diametrically opposed that they cannot be overlooked or disregarded in terms of being able to co-exist. I have written pieces in the past that challenge Roman Catholic doctrine. All doctrine is fair game. However, I have never made a statement that Catholics cannot be believers. Conversely, though, when a Catholic blogger* does make the claim that his church is the only true church, by implication, that claim is purporting that all protestant churches are therefore illegitimate. That person's right to believe that, but I have much better forums -- particularly and ironically, with unbelieving partners -- where I can share a blog carnival and let the discussion continue. But when under the banner of Christian, a decision must be made what is and is not appropriate. If the carnival is not compelled to do so (and he is beholden to nobody in determining whether or not to do so), then my only option is to make that decision for myself.
*I've determined to no longer link to this blogger, either directly or not. If someone wants to find his stuff, it's not like its in hiding. Besides, my point is not that I am against Catholicism, it is that I am for following Jesus.
Oh, man...you are so narrow-minded! I hope Mel doesn't find out.

And, lest I be misunderstood, let me repeat that:
