I'm getting trounced in my bracket for the Tourney. I'm not at the bottom, yet. But I soon will be. I'm not even eligible to score any more points for two of the four regionals.
I know you don't care. But I just needed to talk about it. Therapeutic.
So, do I concede al la Gephardt, Dean, Edwards, et al? Or do I march on delusionally in Kucinich-like obsession, hoping to get as many points as I can for no real purpose whatsoever?
So yes, I'll continue. That's why it's called March Madness.
Go ahead and call me crazy. Crazy like Kucinich.
Oh, and as a PS, Cotter picked the UAB upset....in fact, he's riding UAB all the way to the title game -- Sorry Tech fans, he hasn't learned to be Georgia proud quite yet.
And a PS to the PS...since I'm clearly rambling now, a la John Fabreau on the answering machine in Swingers...here's my revised predictions, in case you are looking for a sure bet (in which case, bet opposite of my selections):
Sweet Sixteen:
UAB beats Kansas (for Cotter)
Tech stings Nevada
St. Joes over Wake
OK St. outguns Pitt
Duke bedevils Illinois
Texas X-ecutes Xavier
Syracuse peels Bama
UConn bites Vandy
Elite 8:
Tech swarms UAB
OK State corrals St. Joes
Duke possesses Texas
UConn nips Syracuse
Final 4:
Tech buzzes OK State
UConn mushes Duke
Championship:
UConn chomps Tech
Hey, I feel your pain. I picked Stanford over Kentucky in the championship game. How's that for bad luck? Oh well. I still have Texas and Oklahoma St. in the final four.
