Zombyboy over at ResurrectionSong is trying to help Diana Karina Galo Diaz find the perfect nickname. With so many creative minds coming by here on a regular basis, I just knew we'd be able to help. Leave your suggestions here or there. I'm doing both. In addition to the ones listed there, I offer:
This comes from a guy who himself is the possessor of several nicknames through the years, including:
Feel free to glean from any of those, as well.
So, what do people call you?
June 23, 2004 7:31 AMI have been called:
Alf - like the alien sitcom
Dougtard - affectionately, BTW
Gus - I have no idea
Fish - I wasn't a good wrestler
and a few others that only my mother could use!
I was called John once. I don't think that really counts as a nickname, though--more like a mistake.

Posted by: zombyboy at June 23, 2004 12:11 PMOf the ones that are appropriate for print, I've been called, at some point or another:
Rosie
Bubba Sparks
P'nuts
I'd like to think that I could one day be called:
"The Glove" - but, my basketball prowess pretty much stops when I start.
Posted by: Tony Rosen at June 23, 2004 2:35 PMGalodia - It's so melodic!
Posted by: Douglas at June 24, 2004 2:16 AMVeved -- My older cousins called that for a while because that's how I pronounced my name when I was itty bitty.
Snaggletooth -- An old dude at church called me that when I was missing my two front teeth.
Duckie -- Friends in 6th grade called me that because I told them to.
Coach -- Junior high to 9th grade. Because I wore my dad's old coaching jacket.
Rod -- My best friend gave me this nickname in high school and I've had it ever since.
My wife and I have nicknames for each other, but I daren't share them. ;-)
Tony -- I've mentioned before that I have a high school friend named Rosencutter (remember my confusion over T. Rosen in my cellphone data?!?).
We called him:
Rosie
Rosie Palmer
Cutter
T-Roy
Yort
Meaty
Jared -- Seeing "coach" made me think of the men who were my coaches that I still call "coach" today because of it, even though a couple of them have long since retired. I think for these, though, its a title of respect more than a nickname.
