Sung to the Tune of Disco Inferno
Posted by Bryan

On a day spent burning CD-Roms for our national certified trainers, it is with unrelated coincidence that I comment ever so briefly on the "news" that Michael "Second Helping Of Disinformation, Please" Moore's movie Farenheit 9/11 made $21 million.

A series of rhetorical questions, for which the answer is simply "no":

Am I surprised 3 million people went to see this?
Am I surprised at the over-wrought comparisons to The Passion of the Christ?
Am I surprised at the media hype that misrepresents this film's popularity?
Am I surprised at the critical acclaim of the importance of this movie?
Am I surprised that has not accomplished changing even one mind?

So....does any of this compel me to give Liarface McFattypants seven dollars of my hard-earned dollars to watch his spin?

I refer you back to the response to my rhetoricals.

One other note...I find it interesting that in the link above, Moore himself is unwilling to give comment to an interview unless he has prior knowledge and control over the questions asked. Should we be willing to receive propaganda from such a man as this who is unwilling to play by his own rules?

Once again...you know *my* answer.

Here, Moore describes to Police the approximate size of a hoagie sandwich he swears was stolen as part of the vast right-wing conspiracy. "They're trying to starve me to shut me up," he was reported to have said, "I'll never let that happen!"
