QFH 002: Why Should I Be Baptized?

This question was asked last night by Cotter, apparently not having read my treatise on the topic, written not that long ago. I will rely upon that for the long answer.
For the short answer, I'll provide the following four-pronged answer:
- Because Jesus commands it (Matthew 28:18-20)
- Because Jesus set the example (Matthew 3:13-17)
- Because it is the first act of obedience (Acts 8:26-40)
- Because it is a symbolic testimony of what Jesus did, co-indentifying us with His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:1-11)
Add your own thoughts in the comments. And if you have placed your faith and trust in Jesus as the Christ and have yet to be baptized...what's the problem?
