Just to update you on the trend, traffic to my meager little large mammal of a site doubled today, with 70 percent of hits referencing a search query looking for an explanation of John & Janet Elway's divorce.
No wonder. You're not going to find real details, with only bits like this being offered in the Mile High Rag:
The Denver Post, though, does a much better job with this summary, which gives a circumspect revelation about the divorce, instead choosing to flaunt the detail that he now dates a former Playmate (and we ain't talkin' about the playground variety). I'm assuming that this was his panty shopping partner, but what do I know? I prefer to instead think of him picking apart the Cleveland Defense, rather than picking through the discount thong table.

August 9, 2004 11:43 PMI lived in Denver in the late 80's and mid 90's and worked with a huge group of people who were rabid John Elway fans; this group of people partied all over Cherry Creek and Colorado and told me regularly of them seeing John Elway out on the town with dates who were not his wife. As they adored John Elway and were huge Bronco fans, I always wondered why no one ever reported this in the Denver press. I just assumed that it was out of respect for Janet Elway; I wish her the very best; she is a wonderful, beautiful spirt and she deserves the very best in life.
