Please remember my youngest daughter Kelsi in your prayers today, as at 3 PM EST, she'll be visiting the Scottish Rite hospital for an MRI exam to discover whether the bump on her lip is a hemangioma or a vascular malformation. Apparently there's some difference between the two, although from all my time invested in ER (and don't get me started on that!), I'm unable to tell a difference.
I can't help but to wonder, every time I speak of the hemangioma, if its remedy is to be found in a new product of Skeletor Industries. And really, isn't Skeletor just a knock off on The Red Skull?
But I digress.
I think that would be a great name for a blog, by the way. Not "By the way," but "But I digress...".
People who know me would say I have a propensity to be scatter-brained when I'm nervous.
Cotter was "put under" twice when he was just a little monkey (that's a term of affection, not a hat tip to the lie of evolution, just so you know). Both times he was fine. Even so, it's a bit unnerving to have your very young child get drugged up. Although the second time with Cotter, it was actually pretty funny watch him get dopey under the watchful eye of the anesthetician. The phrase "Momma, I see three of you!" will forever bring laughter to our home.
I asked Kelsi yesterday if she knew what she was doing today.
KelsiGirl: Yessuh. I'm getting my Emmawye."
Me: Do you know what that means?
K : Nosuh.....does it hurt?
Me: NOOOoooo! Not at all. Except they'll give you a needle to help you fall asleep.
K: What's a needle?
Me: Uh oh. Um....Hey, Dora the Explorer is on TV! Look!
Anyway, I appreciate you taking our needs to God in prayer. We'll give an update later!
I sure will pray for her. I was 20 when I had mine and I freaked out! I wish I had been offered a needle or maybe even a small, temporary concussion but no...notta...nothin! She is God's hands so she will be fine!
