43 Things: I want to worship God with all my life.

I’m busy. You’re busy. We’re all busy. And as busy as I may be, I probably would have no problem finding someone so much busier than me that I look like a slacker by comparison.

The question is, how much of this “busy-ness” is given to accomplishing God’s will?

Rick Warren has defined the modern church movement with the question, “What on earth am I here for?” Aside from the problematic ending of this question with a preposition, I think the better question is, “Who am I on this earth for?”

God’s word says that God has a plan for me. He created me for good works. He redeemed me and restored me so that I may do those works. The bottom line, though, is that those good works are designed and intended to give glory and acclaim back to God.

So I want to make sure that the busy details in my life are accomplishing this end, and not distracting me from it. I want to clear away the junk and clutter that keeps me from staying on task. At the same time, I want to be gracious to enjoy the “down time” that the Lord provides, realizing that even times of rest and relaxation are intended to bring glory to the God in whom I am perpetually at rest.

Whether in labor or in luxury, I want my life’s conduct to magnify the God who created me. I want my thoughts, my speech, my intentions, and my actions all to be given as sacrficial offerings of service, devotion, and commitment to the Lord God.

You must know the will of God, in order to be able to carry it out. For that you must awaken God in you as the in-dweller, who will guide you at each step.

This is much like birds flying in a group, fish swimming and turning together at once. They know the will of the group, which is the collective consciousness. The collective consciousness has a higher intelligence which guides you.

For starters please read this small experience of mine (this is not tied to any religion).
