With Round 1 of the NCAA tourney complete, I sit in 3rd in one bracket, and fourth in the other. I got 46 points (out of 64), which is slightly worse than I'd expect to do. Most devastating to me was the loss of Kansas to Bucknell (!), KU's first first-round loss since '78. That's going to cost me points for the next three rounds. I'd like to say I'm happy for the Bison, but that'd be a lie.
And I don't know why the announcer had to call them the "Bye-sahn." It's like he's never seen the words before. That was almost as painful to hear as the game was to watch.
Out of next round's possible 64 points, I'm only able to get at the most 48, since there were four games where I picked 2nd round winners who lost in the first round. Bummer.
On a positive note, I used the day's games to finally eliminate the last of the 300+ trackback spam. It's taken over 3 months to do...a spare minute here and there, but its finally complete.
Until the next wave hits.
I'm so exhausted from this all that I'm going to go sit in the Holiday Inn jacuzzi for a while. You know, to work out the sore muscles.
March 19, 2005 12:31 AMYou need some .htaccess blocks (Google for pinappleproxy). Not saying that will keep you spam free, but it'll help. You should also update your MT installation. The new version includes a menu item for trackbacks, where you see them last trackback first. So it's just a matter of checking which one is bad, and ticking the box next to it, then deleting a batch. Go to next page, repeat process.
Or, you could delete'm in phpMyAdmin, of course?
