Alias Episode Guide, Season 5

Unable to read the ultrasound, Sydney tries to
change the channel to the James Bond Marathon
airing on TBS.
With news that Jennifer Garner is pregnant, script doctors have been called in to revise next season's plotline. What follows are episode summaries for all 22 episodes:
  • Episode 1: Sydney flies to Bora Bora for a mission to discover a good engagement gift for Weiss and Maria Nadia, never leaves the jet due to morning sickness. Upon returning home, Marshall administers Clear Blue Easy pregnancy test. Turns out clear. Blue. Easy.
  • Episode 2: Syd tells Vaughn, causing him to wonder if his father is still alive. Sydney is relegated domestic missions, assigned to locate secret lab in New Mexico. Due to guacamole-onset nausea, she never leaves hotel room.
  • Episode 3: Sydney takes a personal day because she's sleepy.
  • Episode 4: Sydney and Vaughn talk about baby names. He likes "Vaughn Jr.", she prefers "Gary."
  • Episode 5: In part 2 of the baby name drama, they settle on "Vaughnna" for a girl and "Gary Jack" for a boy.
  • Episode 6: Sloan's feelings are hurt over name choices, considers destroying APO.
  • Episode 7: Sydney registers for APO baby shower...and the cameras follow every step of the way.
  • Episode 8: Will Tippin finds Sydney's registry on-line, plans to buy lavender comforter and surprise her with showing up.
  • Episode 9: In a surprise twist, Evil Francie is still alive. She buys the baby wipe warmer, sends it to APO anonymously. Marshall mistakes it for a bomb, has it destroyed.
  • Episode 10: Jack argues with Syd over whether he'll be called "Gramps," "Pappaw," or "Pawpaw." Sloan comments how he too always considered Syd as a daughter.
  • Episode 11: APO baby shower takes place. Will shows up. Nadia bought lavender comforter, too. Discomfort between Will and Nadia ruins party.
  • Episode 12: Syd assigned recon on biological agent threatening Europe. She declines, saying, "My OBGYN said not to get near anyone with a cold, much less a mutated strain of ebola."
  • Episode 13: Marshall makes Syd a mix CD of baby songs. Encrypted on CD is the entire catalog of boobah.
  • Episode 14: Nadia gets over Will/comforter issue when Sydney confesses that she needs two comforters anyway.
  • Episode 15: Vaughn assigned Alpha Team Management of Operation: Baskin Robins, designed to satiate Syd's craving for a Fudge Brownie Sundae with Spumoni Swirl and Butterscotch sauce.
  • Episode 16: Quentin Tarantino guest stars and directs as Syd signs up for Blue Cross/Blue Shield when CIA unexpectedly disavows any knowledge of her on their group insurance plan, inasmuch as its inadequate maternity coverage. Sydney is offended and concerned over questions about whether or not she craves eating paint chips.
  • Episode 17: Joel Grey guest stars as "The Clone Sloan," plotting to kidnap Gary Jack, rename him Marvin, and raise him as his own.
  • Episode 18: In late-term ultrasound, Gary Jack is proven to be Vaughnna...on screen image fulfills some obscure Rambaldi prophecy. In a related incident, kittens fall from a thundercloud in Eastern Brazil.
  • Episode 19: Sydney gets into late-term nesting phase, reorganizes all her closets at home.
  • Episode 20: Sydney goes into labor...all the world's terror cells agree to halt nefarious activity while Vaughnna comes into the world
  • Episode 21: Part 1 of season finale. Sydney begins delivery. Main OB nurse turns out to be Irina in disguise. Nadia battles with her in delivery room using bed pan and ice chips. Irina is subdued when Dixon sedates her with a surprise epidural.
  • Episode 22: Vaughnna is born, Syd delivers the placenta. Sloan recognizes it as a Rambaldi artefact, steals it with crazed look in his eyes. Vaughnna is whisked away for a bath...Or is she?

You have caught up on your Alias haven't you?

What happened to the epi when Vaugh has to go on the mission in the middle of the night to find pickle-peanut butter sandwiches (made with creamy Peter Pan Peanut butter) to satisfy Syd's cravings?

You guys are so right! I really do not like the names of Sids. children. It should be something unique just like Sids. mom's name. Please change the names. They don't fit.
