Our friend and ministry partner Anthony Clark, died yesterday at his home in Friendswood, Texas, following a brief illness. Here is his obituary printed in The Houston Chronicle:
Anthony once gained fame as the world's strongest man, and set numerous power lifting records, several of which still hold today. Anthony was a friend and partner to Baptist Men On Mission and Challengers, appearing at the 2005 National Rally where he shared his testimony of salvation and an encouraging message of perserverance. A true gentle giant, Anthony now rests in the bosom of Abraham, joining in the heavenly chorus. We celebrate his life and his witness to the grace, mercy, and provision of God through the Christ who is Jesus of Nazareth.

Posted by: Ann & John at August 23, 2005 9:14 PMAC, My heart is broken....I've been in search of you for the last few months.....never expecting this! I know though what you taught me so well, God is in control and your work here is done. Rest well my dear friend, and when at last it is my turn to look up to see the face of God..... I know you'll be waiting there in the wings...cheering me on!!! No words can express how deeply you touched my life. You have always been with me, as you were then and as you are now. You will continue to be a blessing in my life as I strive for my own crown. I never told you enough, "thank you for bearing your soul and sharing your life with me. You taught me the greatest lesson of all, that real strength is not in the body, but in soul and spirit.......
I am truly blessed to have you a part of my life..... See you in paradise! I love you still, KT1
P.S. If Tonya, Troy or Jonathan reads this, please send me your email address and/or phone #.
For the brief time that I spent with you in the spring of 1996 in Battle Creek, MI with Randy Don and the Power Team will be a time that I will remember for a lifetime. You inspired me and my pursuits to teach others. Your testimony and the way you lived your life is a monument to the beliefs that you held near and dear to your heart. I will see you in the Lord's Gym when it is my time to be called home. Thanks for your inspiration and unwaivering faith.

I loved you then and I love you even still. I am blessed to say that for almost 2 years I was your girlfriend and the things you taught me were truely amazing. You taught me how to Love, Laugh, and to not only believe in God but also in myself. I will carry you in my heart forever and my Love for you will last for eternity. I talked to you the day before you passed and I thank God to this day our last words to eachother were "I Love you!" I will live forever with those last words and I will surely meet you in heaven. I can't wait to see you once again..........I love you so very much my gentle giant............Love Shannon!!!!
