No, this *is* my last Friday.
My wonderful colleagues and coworkers are taking me and my family to lunch today. We're going to The Village Tavern. I'll order the salmon. This was the restaurant where I was taken when I first interviewed for this ministry position two years ago, so we've got the whole "Circle of Life" thing going on.
They're also going to gift me with my Bible, which they teamed up and got reupholstered. It's not a surprise because they had to ask for it, rather than just lighting it from my possession, because I would have gone INSANE thinking I had misplaced it or that it had been taken surreptitiously. I'm excited to see it, and I'm honored that they thought of something so considerate. I'll remember my dear friends every time I use it.
After that...only three more days of service to NAMB, then...

Come on down...Texas has it's arms wide open for you.
If I'm ever in your neck of the Great State I'll drop by. If you ever have an opportunity to visit Houston's First Baptist we would love to have you.
Posted by: Sandi at June 3, 2005 9:05 AMThanks, Sandi! I may take you up on that...Kelli has family living in Kingwood, so we'll be in that part of the world, for certain. And you're always welcome at The Vine!
