I received an email that former Colorado Governor Richard Lamm spoke on the evils of multiculturalism. Snopes verified it as true. So I'm linking to Snopes, rather than reprinting it here.

Despite the fact that this country began and still is, to an extent, a melting pot, over the last 229 years we have developed a culture. That culture is nearly completely eroded.
Richard Lamm hit the nail on the head for sure.
