The Beautiful Blessed Republic Anthem Mash-up
Posted by Bryan

Can you see by the dawn's early light,
What we so proudly hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?

…spacious skies,
…amber waves of grain,
…majestic, purple mountains.

God Bless America, the land I love.
Stand beside and guide her.
From the mountains to the prairies, to the white, foaming oceans.
…thru the night with a light from above.

When freemen shall stand between their loved homes and the war's desolation,
blest with victory and peace; may the heaven-rescued land
praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.

He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
He is wisdom to the mighty, He is honor to the brave;
So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of wrong His slave.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us live to make men free;

America; God shed thy grace on thee.
…Crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea!
…Till selfish gain no longer stain the banner of the free!
…Till all success be nobleness and every gain divine!

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet;

For glory-tale of liberating strife
When once and twice, for man's avail men lavished precious life!

    "While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
    Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
    Be grateful for a land so fair, as we raise our voices in solemn prayer. "

Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."

God bless America, My home sweet home.
God mend thine every flaw.
Our God is marching on.

(from the words by Katharine Lee Bates, Francis Scott Key, Julia W. Howe, & Irving Berlin)
