I like LOST....a lot....although it treats me like a high school girlfriend who knows I'm into her more than she is into me, giving me attention whenever the mood strikes like when she needs my lunch money to buy herself a Coke and an oversized chocolate chip cookie fresh from the lunch lady's bakery, but otherwise ignoring me and totally disavowing that we might actually be an item (unless it means I could help her with her Senior English paper). My patience is short for that. But I'm looking forward to our next date nonetheless, because she promised to tell me a secret or two about some island-loving friends of hers.
Survivor...this is the season when the inmates overtake the asylum. Camp crazy will go into the merge in power and if they can keep from chewing off their own arms in a wacked-out attempt to beat down their own selves, they just might find someone to win this thing. On an related note, don't you think Shane's son is laying pretty low right now, waiting for the storm cloud that is is dad's psychotic neurosis about "his son's name" to subside? Mr. Miyagi's wax-on, wax-off show for the Panamanians was a nice diversion, though.
The Apprentice...I don't think I can watch this any more. It took a while, but congratulations to Donald Trump for fooling me as long as he did before I finally caught on that I was just watching an infomercial.
The Amazing Race...Go nerds! Or young attractive couple! Or hippie friends who I at first thought were gay but now don't! I can only hope the testosterone twins who are overwhelmingly obsessed with the opposing girls will one day catch re-runs of this on GSN and drop their heads in shame. Anyphil, after the horriphil mess that was last season's family philasco, its philtastic to philnally see the game return to the philbulous spectaphil that it is. Phil. Philly philphilphil phil. Phil!
AI5...There are 8 good performers and no more, promising to offer a very interesting final two months. Kevin, Bucky, Melissa, and Miss Pickler, you are not among that octet. Enjoy the ride while it lasts. I was sad to see Wilma Karr leave tonight, simply because his name was so much fun to mock. I've seen the future of manufactured celebrity and its name is Mandisa. I, too, believe God.
Coming soon...we will see how the freakydeaky happenings on Lost are a controlled experiment by the Alias cabal of APO, because the top "other" is none "other" than Rambaldi himself. Go ahead. Write it down. Remember where you read it first.
March 10, 2006 4:39 AMHave you been sniffing paint philer again? Just curious. I have been watching AI5 as well and have to disagree...I think Miss Pickler is a good performer. Alas, she is too similar to last year's reality TV songstress. Paris and Mandisa are both bright lights to watch but I think in the end, it may be Chris left standing. It is time for a rock idol.
