Music that Ministers
Posted by Bryan

We just bought David Glenn's new EP Turn to You. It's only four songs, ($3.96 at iTunes).

I have tremendous respect for David, who I first met at the National Challengers a couple years ago when I was still at NAMB. Then, when I came to Grapevine, I pushed hard for him to be here for our student ministry DNow weekend. He's just a guy whose music seems to match his walk.

He caught me with the lyrics of his title song:

SnippetI turn away from this world today and I turn to You
I want nothing less than Your very best so I turn to You
    CHORUS:
I long to feel Your sweet embrace, I want to see You face to face
I just want to be where You are
Majesty and King of kings, I lift my voice to You and sing
I just want to be where You are

Other music that heals my pains of this day:

There are others...but these seem to be moving up the play count chart on the iTunes recently.

Bryan,
There is one song that got my attention when I was down and out after mom died. Nicole Mullen, Call on Jesus. Gets me RIGHT THERE, ya know?! Thank God we have God, or all of this would be insurmountable.
I agree with Sari, normalcy is in the eye of the beholder.....you seem pretty normal to me.
Love to you and Kelli and the kids

Never having delt with the loss of someone close, I can only imagine what you and your family are going through. I love the message of this song and hope it gives you strength and peace. It is called "He Will Carry Me" by Mark Schultz.
