Before they were Stars
Posted by Bryan

class of 1987My brother had his twenty-year class reunion two weeks ago. It was fun to see some of the photos from it. The image to the left is the 1987 class photo...click on the image for a full-size. And yes, Ozzy Osborn makes a photoshop cameo because there was an open space there and the reunion coordinator is a fan.

To the right is a photo of the attendants of the decennial gathering. Again, click on the photo for a full-size. It sure is fun to see that every class, no matter where they are, has some of the same archetypical folks*, including:
class of '87 today

  • The "I'm Too Old to Be Wearing This But I Will Anyway" Gal

  • The "We Used to Be Athletes, But Now We're Bald & Out of Shape" Guys

  • The "You Might Remember Me from that Dateline Episode with Chris Hansen" Dude

  • The "I'm a Mom Approaching Middle Age, and I'm Okay With That" Woman

  • The "I Was Unpopular, But Now I Think I'm Hot" Chick

  • The "Does This Goatee Make Me Look Cool, Man?" Man

  • The "We Should Do This Every Year!" lady

  • The "I Was A Stoner But Now I'm a Multimillionaire....Stoner" Stoner

I did have the opportunity to follow a few links that were on the reunion web site...and for the Craig folks who visit here (and I know you're out there because I can see my referrer logs!) I offer you the web locales of a few of our fine alumni from 1987:

The Real Estate Owner

The Photographer

The Liberal "Progressive" Blogger

The New-Age Thinker/Fitness Expert

The Other Real Estate Agent

The Former Lifer Military Guy Now Fascinated with Weather & Other Random Stuff

The Tech Guy Making Bank in Software

The College Professor/ EMBA Associate Director

I'm sure there are more, but this is what I found according to my "three clicks or less" rule.

And for those of you who are still Bulldog proud, you can order your own MCHS apparel from this online store.

UPDATE: Left-leaning blogger Ray sent me a personal email clarifying some points. Just like an upperclassman. I gladly add him to my blogroll. MoCoHi proud!

*any resemblance between the archetypes mentioned and actual individuals in the photograph is completely coincidental and unintended. Really, I don't know you. You were seniors when I was a freshman. And aside from the few of you who knew me through my brother, all we know about each other is that you were all too cool to be talking to a freshman, and that I would tend to cry when my brother punched me in the face. So let's just leave it at that, okay?
