Doubling our Twenties
Posted by Bryan

About 15 months ago, our church's 200 department (which is the jingo we use for everyone between 20-29 years old who comes here) had an average attendance of 16 and enrollment of 35.

For the entire church.

I tell you this, though. The sixteen have a vision for sharing their faith with others and inviting them to come see what God is doing at our church. Fifteen months later, our 20s average attendance is 38 and enrollment approaches 100.

Here is a video where Ted & Glenda, teachers in the department, talk about how they have seen their one class grow to two, and then one department reproduce to two (and start a third class).

Lest you forget, this is not about numbers. This is about people. This is about families. This is about lives being changed by being part of a small group...doing life together.
