Kelli's maternal grandmother Myra Ruth Johnson Barker, passed away peacefully September 12, 2007. She was 94 years old.
"Grandmother," as she was known to us and our children, was a sweet lady who loved and was loved by many. My first experiences with her include being welcomed to her home with an invitation to join in a game of "Ho!" (a card game akin to Rummy, where if you wanted the turn card but were not in line to receive it, you could hollar the titular declaration to stake your claim on it).
I am honored to be married into the family and we were all blessed recipients of the love and maternal affection of Grandmother. We miss her and look forward to the day of reunion in heaven.
