Famed Mime Marcel Marceau died on Sunday. He was 84.

This detail seemed altogether appropriate, all factors considered.

Marceau died Saturday in Paris, French media reported. Former assistant Emmanuel Vacca announced the death on France-Info radio, but gave no details about the cause.

Vacca did, however, pretend to battle an imaginary wind storm and walk an invisible dog, all to the delight of the French press (the journalists, not the coffee maker).
