Two Great Days that Taste Great Together
Posted by Bryan

Today is a veritable Reece's Cup of holidays, a mash-up of complementary days of attention, a yin and a yang, if you will, of noteworthy attention-calling hallmark causes.

September 27, 2007 is World Tourism Day.

it is also Ancestor Appreciation Day.

So call your travel agent today and plan your cruise, flight, or train ride back to the homeland, mother land, or whatever it is you call it.

I'm a little tapped out on the ability to travel the world, so I'll have to settle for ancestor appreciation.

are you my great great great grandmother?Thank you, ancestors, immediate and extended, for procreating and continuing the family line. Thank you for surviving dinosaurs (yes, I believe we co-existed), famine, plagues, political turmoil, and the little known and ultimately unsuccessful McAnally Clan Eradication Act of 1549 in Northern Ireland.

My children thank you, too. And we'll demonstrate our gratitude playing a family game (perhaps a dramatic re-enactment of the McAnally Rebellion Uprising of 1848 that precipitated the attempted scourge of my progenitors...or Pictionary).
