Friend and blogger Randy McRoberts asks the great question, "Why do atheists proselytize?"

Great question!

This caused my brain to itch. So I did what I do whenever my brain gets an itch.

I scratched.

An Amazon forum addresses this very question.

Here, an atheist pontificates on the matter.

Here, another argues for atheism's evangelistic thrust to continue.

Kerfuffles asks and hypothesizes on an answer.

I don't know that I'm any closer to an answer, but I have an idea.

Believers and non-believers both proselytize. Believers do it to share heaven. Non-believers do it for self-validation.

Just a theory. What do you think?
