US abortion rate lowest in 30 years.
Despite the relationship between these headlines that even a simple blogger can realize it, the articles note that there are still 1.2 million abortions a year in the United states. Roughly compared, that is the entire population of the city of Dallas, aborted every year, largely in the name of convenience.
And while the decrease in all abortions is cause for celebration, it is also worth noting that one factor is the prevalent availability of the abortifacient RU-486. It should be noted that the "abortion pill" has some serious, widely under-reported risks.
Our church has a partnership with the Real Choices pregnancy center. We have found that they have been strong partners who advocate life and demonstrate grace to all people seeking direction with an unplanned pregnancy.
