Heavenly Lord,

Today I ask you to lead our political leaders to be truthful. I ask you to convict them of any untruthfulness and to guide them to speak accurately, concisely, and honestly. I ask that you give Americans who are voting the ability to discern falsehoods, and that the light of truth would shine upon any deception. I pray that American citizens would not be content with lies as "politics as usual," and that truthfulness would be a respected and honored character trait and discipline. May integrity by both candidates and running mates be seen as an admirable strength to be commended.
