Presidential Prayer Day 15

Dear Lord,

Today I pray for the U.S. Congress, many of the seats of which are up for re-election. I pray that you will reign as sovereign over these elections, too. I pray that these races will be run ethically, and be filled by men and women who know you as Lord. I pray that the people who serve as the senators and representatives will be honorable and responsible. I pray that they will take their tasks seriously and be concerned with the nation's needs ahead of addressing their personal needs. I pray that they would seek you, your wisdom and your leadership in their own stewardship of the resources of our land.
